July 2020 Price LIst

At Bocchinfuso Funeral Home, we pride ourselves on being as open and transparent with our families as possible. We want to set your mind at ease that you will never be subjected to an aggressive sales pitch, and there are no hidden funeral costs.  The Bereavement Authority of Ontario provides a booklet for consumers to understand what their rights and responsibilities are, and be informed prior to entering in to contracts with licenced service providers.   All licensees of the BAO are required to provide consumers with a copy of this guide.  You can download a copy of this booklet here.

Our Integrity pricing means that the funeral costs we quote you—whether in person or on the phone—is the exact same price you’ll be asked to pay for your service.

We feel confident that if you compare us with area funeral homes, you’ll find our funeral pricing to be extremely competitive.

As much as possible, we strive to stay within our families’ funeral price points, and provide a personalized and dignified, yet affordable funeral that reflects your loved one’s wishes.

We want to make every effort to ensure you understand all the services we provide, and their associated costs. To clarify funeral costs, we’ve prepared an outline of the basic three categories that make up our affordable funeral pricing:

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES: This fee represents items such as Funeral Directors and staff services, Administration and Documentation, Registration as required by provincial and municipal legislation, Embalming, Cosmetology, Hairdressing, Dressing and Casketing of Deceased Person, Direction of Funeral (Ontario Licensee) and or Funeral Director(s) and Assistants.
FACILITIES, EQUIPMENT:  This fee represents items such as general use of the funeral home, equipment, permanent computerized record keeping, sheltering of your loved one and use of the preparation room and supplies, parking facilities, as well as use of the coffee lounge, the visitation suite, use of the chapel and equipment and/or the arrangement and set-up of details and equipment for the use of a church service or place of worship, and the use of our organ.  This fee also includes receiving, arranging/placement of all floral tributes as well as the administration and delivery of all memorial donations received at our office.
AUTOMOTIVE AND TRANSPORTATION NEEDS:  This fee represents items such as: the transfer of your loved one from the local place of death, the transfer of your loved one to the local crematorium, a general duty vehicle, (used to obtain documents, permits, delivery of floral and memorial donations, coroner's consultation for cremation certificate, etc). On the day of the funeral service, we normally provide vehicles for the Clergy/Lead, the Funeral Coach.

CASKET & MERCHANDISE SELECTIONS: This section is specific to the casket that a family selects. All of our caskets and merchandise are priced separately, meaning the price you see for the casket is for the casket alone. Some of the other types of merchandise you might find in this section of the funeral costs are:

Burial Vaults
Cremation Urns
Memorial DVD

CASH DISBURSEMENTS are as they imply. To aid the families we serve, we will cover third-party expenses and place them on our account as a convenience for you until the estate is settled.
Strict legislation ensures that these items are not marked up and only the exact "cost" is included on the funeral account. Typical cash disbursements might include:

Newspaper Notices
Clergy or Church Honourarium
Organist and/or Soloist Honourarium
Cemetery Charges / Crematorium charges
Coroner's Cremation Certificate
District Registration

In closing, we hope that by reading the above information, you will have a better understanding of what is involved regarding our service charges.
